Objectives:
- Students will discuss impact Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson had on imperialism.
- Students will assess components of political cartoons.
- Students will create political cartoons over imperialism.
Today, students briefly discussed the roles that President Roosevelt, President Taft, and President Wilson played in imperialism.

Students were introduced to the idea of political cartoons as a way to state a point of view.
Students analyzed political cartoons and determined what each was trying to say.
Students were then introduced to a project in which they will be creating a political cartoon about Imperialism. Students received the rubric they will be graded on as well.
Students were given the remainder of the hour to work on their political cartoons.
Homework: 30 min. next class to finish political cartoon, quiz over Chapter 18
