Objectives:

• Students will create a political cartoon.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge of Chapter 18.
• Students will critique peers.
• Students will examine WWI.

Today, students were given ~30 minutes to finish their political cartoons, studying if they finished early.

Students then took a short quiz over Imperialism.

Students then posted their cartoons around the room.

Students were given a worksheet and were asked to circulate the room and assess their peers’ cartoons.

Students were given the remainder to work on a brief assignment introducing them to WWI.

Read 19.1, pp. 554-556.
What were the 4 long-term causes that led to WWI?  Explain each one in detail.  What started WWI?  Explain in detail.
